Hi,
We were creating a 2-way mirroring zpool using a local HDD and a remote iSCSI target. The iSCSI target and the initiator were connected through a 10Gb network. The zpool works fine. When we shut down the iSCSI initiator machine, we lose the HDD disk. We tried to recover the zpool on another machine (e.g., the iSCSI target server or another machine that can connect to the iSCSI target). So far we haven't succeed yet, but I read from some old posts before 2010 saying that it works. Let's move further about this test. If we create a RAID1+0 zpool, which consists of 4 vdevs, each of which is a mirror between a local HDD and a remote iSCSI target. If we lose the local machine, can we recover the whole zpool from another machine that can connect to all needed iSCSI targets? and how? Your comments will be highly appreciated.
