kind of confused here. You "wouldn't use a CPU cap with zones". Then how I can assign CPU resources to a given zone?
Assume an 2-socket Xeon machine, each socket has 10 cores, each with 2 threads. I want a zone with 4 threads, and would like the 4 threads from the same socket. How I can achieve so? Thanks. ________________________________ 发件人: Ian Collins <[email protected]> 发送时间: 2016年8月19日 12:01:39 收件人: [email protected] 主题: Re: [smartos-discuss] how to allocate VCPUs from a single socket On 19/08/16 3:22 pm, 龙白滔 wrote: Hi, We are running SmartOS on a 2-socket Xeon marchine, and would like to allocate 4 CPUs for a zone. Unless you have a compelling reason to do so, I wouldn't use a CPU cap with zones. -- Ian. smartos-discuss | Archives<https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/184463/=now> [https://www.listbox.com/images/feed-icon-10x10.jpg1249f3d.jpg?uri=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cubGlzdGJveC5jb20vaW1hZ2VzL2ZlZWQtaWNvbi0xMHgxMC5qcGc] <https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/184463/27408809-83ccdc46> | Modify<https://www.listbox.com/member/?&> Your Subscription [https://www.listbox.com/images/listbox-logo-small.png1249f3d.png?uri=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cubGlzdGJveC5jb20vaW1hZ2VzL2xpc3Rib3gtbG9nby1zbWFsbC5wbmc] <http://www.listbox.com> ------------------------------------------- smartos-discuss Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/184463/=now RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/184463/25769125-55cfbc00 Modify Your Subscription: https://www.listbox.com/member/?member_id=25769125&id_secret=25769125-7688e9fb Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
