If you run: fwadm disable <rule uuid> fwadm enable <rule uuid> Them fwadm will write out a log file to /var/logs/fw/ for the enable action. If you run `bunyan <path to log file>', you can follow the logic that fwadm uses to generate the ipf.conf file, and maybe understand what's going wrong.
