Hi folks,

I'm looking at the "works for me" configurations; unfortunately there doesn't
seem to be quite the information I'm looking for there so I figured I'd reach
out here and see if anyone else is in a similar situation.

I want to replace some old, long-in-the-tooth servers that I have in remote
locations in other countries with SmartOS. But there's a hitch here - power
use is the overriding concern; I'm a guest in these places or doing server
swaps; keeping power draw under 75 watts would be great. One of the machines
I'm replacing is a Netra X1 (yes, the one that went end of support in 2007).

It needs to be rackmount, USB bootable (ipmi with serial console a plus), and
support four or more disks (AHCI is fine, though if I have a slot and enough
power budget I might decide to use an LSI 1068 based controller and small
capacity SAS drives instead). 16g of RAM minimum and no need for an slog
device. This is not a high performance application.

Pointers greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

-r
