I once tried to update my SmartoS installation, dating joyent_20151210T194528Z to a newer version but it failed. I have quite some data stored on this server but for some new virtual machines I need to update the platform. I found the update script on https://github.com/calmh/smartos-platform-upgrade But what do need to do to: - be sure it all will update fine - be sure that I have a fall-back scenario when things fail - be sure that I wil not loose any data ? Due to the nature of this issue we will be disabling the previously released 16.4.0 base, minimal and pkgbuild images.
