Signing in general is a bit tricky. I’m signing packages for Project-FiFo and 
have a ‘generalized’ make file for it:

https://github.com/project-fifo/fifo_utils/blob/master/priv/pkg.mk 
<https://github.com/project-fifo/fifo_utils/blob/master/priv/pkg.mk>

it might not be exactly what you need given it is not for the pkgbuild image 
but rather standalone but perhaps there are some pointers that help you along.
