Another heads up. It bit me on a Global Zone installation as well. a) The recovery instructions don't cover that, but you can figure it out. b) Now that pkgin lives in /tools/opt, you have various stuff sitting in there that you didn’t have before (in my case some salt config files). Fortunately I do get snapshots of /opt but unfortunately I hadn't added /opt/tools to my GZ backup script (i.e. recovery wasn't as easy as it should have been). c) The pkgin installation instructions at https://pkgsrc.joyent.com/install-on-illumos/#tools-install contain a SHA checksum for each package, plus the optional gpg method, but only the gpg digests are held in the archives pointed to by that page https://pkgsrc.joyent.com/packages/SmartOS/bootstrap/ d) related to c) I have had various problems with the gpg command gpg --recv-keys 0xDE817B8E which doesn't always work. I'll post an example when I have more time ------------------------------------------- smartos-discuss Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/184463/=now RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/184463/25769125-55cfbc00 Modify Your Subscription: https://www.listbox.com/member/?member_id=25769125&id_secret=25769125-7688e9fb Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
