Hi Joe,

Using the SmartOS/Rancher approach is provisioning a Docker container in a
KVM zone. Our rationale was that we could easily update the Docker engine
just by changing out the RancherOS at any time which has a very small
footprint (initially about 20 MB) .
On the other hand, Joyent Triton-SDC also has a version for a Docker layer
over their native zone but I found, that for our particular purposes, this
was not exactly what we needed though still a good approach.
