Hello,

Bit of an odd one this...

I have a couple of Supermicro X9DRH-7TF based systems both with a zones pool comprising a stripe of four mirrors and 2 Intel 3700 SSD log devices.  I also have a pimped up consumer PC test box with the same pool configuration (using laptop drives for the mirrors).  All three have identical Windows Server 2012 KVMs. Running Crystal Disk Mark in the KVMs as a stress test for the pool gives strange results:

The PC returns sequential and 4K random write speeds of 305 and 15MB/s respectively.

The X9 systems return sequential and 4K random write speeds of 210 and 6MB/s respectively.

The 3700s on the PC hit close to 3000 write IOPs during the write tests, while those on the X9s only hit about 600....

Not what I would expect!

Has anyone else seen anything like this?

Cheers,

Ian.
