I have seen tons of webpages describing how to deploy IPv6 in the global
zone, but all of them require a custom SMF service at boot. Example:

http://setupnotes.gozoinks.com/enable-ipv6-in-smartos/
https://gist.github.com/bharrisau/3392578
https://docu.blackdot.be/snipets/solaris/smartos-ipv6

What is the current best practice for this, with a modern SmartOS
release? No way around custom SMF boot service?.

Enabling IPv6 in the global zone is the first step to enable it also in
the native zones. If you have any advice, link to documentation, please
let me know. Even more if they are relevant to recent SmartOS, I am
seeing tons of stale information about ancient SmartOS releases. Best
link so far seems to be
<https://wiki.smartos.org/display/DOC/Setting+up+IPv6+in+a+Zone>.

Thanks for your time and expertise.
