Hi,
I used bhybe under freebsd 3 years ago, it is very fast, stable and a
legacy-free hypervisor layer.

Betreff: Re: [smartos-discuss] RFD 121 bhyve brand
Hi, the RFD begins with this:
For reasons beyond the scope of this document, bhyve is needed by
SmartOS
The reasoning behind bhyve's inclusion in SmartOS might be obvious for
some of you guys but it's not completely clear to me I would have
assume that simply put it's technically superior to KVM is there more
to it?
Thanks.

Hi all,
As I'm sure many have heard, we are working on bringing bhyve to
SmartOS. As part of that, I'm currently working on a bhyve zone
brand. The intent is to have a brand that works well for all illumos
distros and is easily wrapped with vmadm so it works well with Triton.

This is in predraft state, so it is still quite rough.
