Hi Robert,

before the patch, the smartos setup had only ever used an ashift of 9, which is definitely wrong since the Samsung 850 PRO uses native 8k blocks

Hi,

we have several Samsung 850 PRO (MZ7WD480) SSDs in use and we need a
Zpool ashift of 13, maybe the addition of the sd.conf in the current
joyent/smartos-live repository makes sense

https://github.com/ass-a2s/smartos-live/commit/386d25877b44d8c41057aefc933256dd7cc58c7f

Are there correctness problems? What sector sizes is the drive
advertising?

Robert
