I am assuming you mean integrating syslog-ng into a consolidation, rather than just the smf(5) service conversions, like those given in http://www.technicalarticles.org/index.php/Setting_Up_a_Syslog-NG_Host_on_Solaris_10 and http://wadofstuff.blogspot.com/2007/03/smf-manifests-for-isc-dhcpd-splunk-and.html I believe the most recent discussion on syslog enhancement was held on networking-discuss last year http://mail.opensolaris.org/pipermail/networking-discuss/2006-June/007612.html but there may have been others.
