http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=31315&tstart=0 several of us at Sun had a meeting to talk about what the SMF schema should be for representing links and how we would go about doing it. We came up with a schema. We decided that in the interim the Project Clearview team would use a flat file to store link data, and would not store link data in SMF. I've updated the link managemant API document to reflect that change, and I'm in the process of updating the main UV design document to reflect that change. One thing I'd especially like comments about is how I propose to handle temporary links, and how to recover their information (i.e. the [ID, name] mapping) in the event of a dladmd crash or restart. thanks, Dan
