Hello, Thank's for your reply, specially Davis reply. I think he is right.
I declare the service to be transient because I use the rsync.xml that I find on the site and because I am newbie with SMF. But when I read again the Solaris 10 course, I think that a "contract service" should be better : Are you agree with this new choice ? Davis is right again about errors messages, when I check /var/adm/messages, I find such messages : Dec 12 12:02:12 pcyy3sgi svc.startd[7]: [ID 489647 daemon.error] svc:/network/rsync:default: :kill with no contract Dec 12 12:02:12 pcyy3sgi svc.startd[7]: [ID 748625 daemon.error] network/rsync:default failed Dec 12 12:02:12 pcyy3sgi svc.startd[7]: [ID 489647 daemon.error] svc:/network/rsync:default: :kill with no contract Dec 12 12:02:12 pcyy3sgi svc.startd[7]: [ID 748625 daemon.error] network/rsync:default failed And in the file /var/svc/log/svc.startd.log I find : Dec 12 12:02:12/214 ERROR: svc:/network/rsync:default: :kill with no contract Dec 12 12:02:12/214: network/rsync:default failed Regards.
