Is "svcs -H -o xxx,yyy,zzz" output unstable? It really should be stable, since it's clearly intended for script consumption. Yesterday I thought I had an application for a way to ask SMF whether it was in a steady state, with no pending starts or stops. I don't remember what the application was, unfortunately.
