I just tried the case you reported as CR 6720846, and I don't see a problem: # svccfg -s console-login svc:/system/console-login> setprop ttymon/terminal_type = xterm svc:/system/console-login> # svcadm refresh console-login # logout [...] # echo $TERM xterm # Did you perhaps forget the 'refresh'?
