The annual OGB election is coming up quickly, so now's really the last chance (it may be as soon as Feb 8?) to make sure any new core contributors for this community are officially recognized. The current grant list for Contributor and Core Contributor status for SMF is listed here:
http://opensolaris.org/os/community/smf/contributors/ I'd like to solicit nominations and votes for Contributor and Core Contributor grants for the SMF community to add to this list. I'll remind folks that Contributor status recognizes tangible contributions to this community, and Core Contributor status recognizes ongoing contributions and commitment to continue to participate in the direction and governance of this community. Constitutionally, Core Contributors must be nominated by an existing Core Contributor, and the grant is given by a consensus vote by Core Contributors (3 +1s and no -1s) plus explicit acceptance of the grant by the nominated Core Contributor. I hope that participants here will feel free to speak up and nominate anyone (including themselves) who has been overlooked! Nominations including the OpenSolaris ID of the nominee will be greatly appreciated. I've got a number of new recommendations for Contributor status. I'm confident that my quick list misses important folks. Contributors: - Antonello Cruz, for ongoing code contributions to SMF. - Alan Maguire, for code contribution to SMF. - Mark Martin, for ongoing code contributions to SMF. - Christine Tran, for spearheading the SMF FAQ effort. - Keith Wesolowski, for code contribution to SMF. I have no current nominations for core contributors, but may send out a few nominations once I've had the chance to consider the question more deeply. Please add your nominations, including those for new core contributors. Core contributors, please vote on core contributor nominations. I'll plan to send a list of new grants to the OGB at ~4pm PT February 8th. We should continue to make appropriate updates after that on an ongoing basis, but I don't know whether they'll be eligible for this OGB election. New grants will certainly apply to this community's governance immediately. liane
