I think your sentiment is dead-on, but I'd prefer to err on the side of filing change requests so that we can have records of why some things shouldn't be done and a comprehensive list of things which should be done. And don't worry about us dropping what we're doing now and rushing to fix your bug -- prioritization is part of software engineering. Most likely this would be fixed when someone is in fixing something else in svc.startd. Heck, the bug that John pointed out is marked oss-bite-size since it's sufficiently straightforward for a community member to work on. David
