No, there wasn't a resolution yet... just many more emails via PM... and
the current opinions range between "do nothing and wait until UTF-8
takes over the world" (which is unlikely to happen) and "ammend the
whole SMF ARC case and replace svcprop with a propper interface" (which
is IMO not needed).
I'm currently ~~2600 emails behind my email (more or less half-sick/dead
inu the last two weeks and still have to catch-up, I'll revisit the
thread later this week...) ...
