Right, but my real question was why sendmail uses tcpwrappers but there
is no property at all, and no mention in the man pages or docs.sun.com,
at least that I can find.

It appears that other services have some sort of property to configure,
but I see nothing for sendmail

If I hadn't run into mail not working, I would have never guessed.
Seems like it ought to documented and configurable.

Is it configurable? and if so how? - using SMF?

TIA,
