Hello Liane and Team, I just finished watching Liane's google tech talk and I heard one very interesting comment regarding the inclusion of a smarter method of monitoring services. This sounds like an excellent idea and can replace the idea of having a one-node cluster to get service monitoring and restart capabilities.
Obviously SMF has the restart capabilities and a simple monitoring framework (process is either there or not there), but having the ability to define a method which can be used to provide higher-level monitoring of a service is a big step forward. Where is this up to? I realise that not much may have changed in the 6 weeks since the talk, but I would be very interested in knowing where this feature is up to in terms of development.
