great.  According to the definition of optional_all (Satisfied if the  
cited services are  running or will not run without administrative  
action) you are right.  This is wrong behaviour.

Though looking at it without the documentation, I actually do agree  
with the behaviour.  If rpc.metad is enabled, I want mdmonitord to  
start after rpc.metad has started.  If rpc.metad doesn't come online,  
I want to wait 'till things are fixed and rpc.metad comes online.  
However if rpc.metad is disabled, then mdmonitord should just ignore  
it and start up anyway.  However, that's not how smf(5) defines  
optional_all.

It's either a bug in the documentation or a bug in the implementation.
