Whats more it is highly likely to be the case in the future. It is almost always the case with a laptop. My laptop is 'called' (ie uname -n returns) islay but almost no where on the planet does the IP address I'm given resolve to that. The nodename has nothing to do with network reachability or resolvabilty of names. -- Darren J Moffat
