In most cases in smf(5), a vendor can create a new namespace by
injecting a stock-symbol-domain-or-reversed-domain in front of the
label they wish to branch from. That is, a particular manifest could
  deliver

  application/ORCL,database/component

  in

  /var/svc/manifest/application/ORCL,database/component.xml

(As far as I can tell, this specification is only in the architecture
document, and didn't make it into the manual pages. Bug.)
