I have tried to do so in the way of creating a new pm file copied from
FPing.pm and then modify this new pm file to fit the new requirement. Remember
to add a new probe item in your config file to use the new pm file and then you
could specify new attributes for the new probe.

I am Pim van Stam, new to this list. This morning I completed my
installation og Smokeping succesfully. I use fping to monitor some
servers and our local network with workstations on it.
In my situation I want to use two different 'step' and 'pings' values.
The default is sufficient for the (remote) webservers. On the local
network, on the other hand, I want to use lower values, e.g. step=30,
ping=2.
In the documentation and on the list I can not find that this is
possible. So, is it possible to use different step/pings values in one
set up (on 1 monitoring system)?
