Hi All, After a few more hours of frustration I worked it out ... had problems in a few areas. I've posted my resolution below so that other users with the same problems as me can hopefully get something useful out of this!
1 - Final working config for telnetIOSping looks like this: _______________________________ + remotelatency menu = Remote Latency title = Remote Latency Results probe = telnetIOSPing ++ Commshare-hk menu = Hong Kong - UK title =Quarry Bay (HK) to Commshare Application (UK) host = 192.168.0.1 +++ PROBE_CONF iospass = sm0kep!ng iosuser = smokeping target = 192.168.0.1 source = 10.1.1.1 psource = 10.1.1.1 ++ siebel-hk menu = Hong Kong - Siebel title =Quarry Bay (HK) to Siebel (US) host = 192.168.1.1 +++ PROBE_CONF iospass = sm0kep!ng iosuser = smokeping target = 192.168.1.1 source = 10.1.2.1 psource = 10.1.2.1 _______________________________ I'm not sure if the above is 100% how it should be, but it works. Although the routers are setup to resolve DNS names, I though I'd cut down one more step for the router and use the IP address. 2 - Set up your routers correctly! I re-read the info supplied on the Telnet IOS Probe page (http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~oetiker/webtools/smokeping/probes/telnetiosping.e n.html) and made some minor changes to my routers! Thanks all ...
