Hi!
I'm having problems running smokeping with perl 5.8. I'm installing
all the software from NetBSD pkgsrc, which is why some of the version
numbers below have a "nb" suffix (and some packages a "p5-" prefix).
Upon startup smokeping 1.28 and 1.19 dump core when run with perl-5.8.3
or perl-5.8.4, and p5-libwww-5.76nb1.
hrothgar:~> smokeping
Abort (core dumped)
Exit 134
Both smokeping versions (using the same smokeping config) run ok with
perl-5.6.1nb9, and p5-libwww-5.69nb1.
Other related software package versions:
fping-2.4b2nb1
p5-Digest-MD5-2.33
p5-Socket6-0.12
rrdtool-1.0.40nb2
Has anyone successfully run smokeping with perl 5.8? Did you need to
make any modifications to fix this or other problems?
