Hello there:

I am currently using smokeping to measure the http rrt on my uni network.
However, I am having few problems with echoping at the moment. I am just
wondering is there anybody doing similar monitoring as well? I am running a
fping monitoring right now. I have 100% avg pack loss and this really worries
me. This is the config file which is running fping:

*** Probes ***

+ FPing

binary = /usr/local/sbin/fping

*** Targets ***

probe = FPing

menu = Top
title = Network Latency Grapher
remark = Welcome to the SmokePing website of xxx Company. \
         Here you will learn all about the latency of our network.

+ UK

menu = United Kingdom
title = United Kingdom
host = www.yahoo.co.uk

The network I am wokring on is a bit tricky that it has set up a really restric
firwall and webcache (squid). Will this affect the performance of smokeping? I
dont think it will at the begining. however, the packet loss is remaining 100%,
I began to worry so. Can anybody please help me out... or just drop me a hint
here.. thanks a lot

regards

Suzy
