Hi, old versions of fping are buggy and report with a wrong scaling factor. Smokeping tries to work around this by parsing the fping output at startup and deducing the right factor. Apparently it doesn't succeed for you. What's the output of 'fping -C 1 localhost'? Please include it verbatim. What does smokeping say at startup about fping reporting? I just did some tests with 2.2b1, and the parsing works for me. Anyway, you best bet is to upgrade to fping 2.4b2, which doesn't have this bug.
