Hi, i have smokeping 2.0.5-2 on my Debian 3.1 system. After the server-reboot the reload command works fine now!
Now i have a different problem: in syslog i have this message: Apr 26 16:27:41 localhost smokeping[18662]: pattern match timed-out at /usr/share/perl5/smokeping/Smokeping/probes/TelnetIOSPing.pm line 169 Apr 26 16:27:41 localhost smokeping[18619]: Use of uninitialized value in scalar chomp at /usr/share/perl5/smokeping/Smokeping/probes/basefork.pm line 214. Apr 26 16:27:41 localhost smokeping[18619]: Use of uninitialized value in split at /usr/share/perl5/smokeping/Smokeping/probes/basefork.pm line 215. I didn't changed anything in the perl modules! Right? Yes, Debian sarge (3.1) has an old version of smokeping (1.38-3), which doesn't support the --reload option. It was implemented in 2.0.2. The reboot was quite overkill, though. Just '/etc/init.d/smokeping restart' or 'smokeping --restart' would have been enough.
