Yes, that will work also since they're child processes of Apache. The processes 
I normally kill, however, are the perl processes running smokeping_cgi. It's 
less disruptive, unless of course all you run off of Apache is Smokeping in 
which case restarting Apache is fine.

Actually, I thought for fun I would try restarting apache and after
