Hello, No, there is no workaround. In fact, all interfaces behave the same. For example, the DB requires multiple records, the XML require multiple files, etc. So, its not something directly related to the EMAIL interface.
Once upon a time, I tried to solve this using "groups of predefined destinations". But it wasn't very flexible, so I've dropped it - nobody was using it...
