Hi, good to hear this! I was not aware of SUN comm issues - up to now. Your problem seemed very comm-link specific and that's why I proposed to you to use RxTx. Its a surprise to hear that the new java comm does not work properly. I have tested the JavaComm v3 with Ubuntu and a real serial connection and it worked fine. So, I guess its either Fefora (unlikely(?)) or the USB connection has some side-effects.
