140 bytes per message part.  You send multi-part and there isn't any
real limit to the number of parts you can send if you are using a GSM
modem.  But if there are too many parts it become a problem to re-
create the data at the other end since you have to wait for all parts
to arrive.  If you are sending binary to a phone application like a
midlet, it is device specific as to how many parts can be part of a
single concatenated message, for most phones the maximum guaranteed
number of parts/message is 3.  Some phones like Sony Ericsson allow
for up to 10 I think, but on other phones any parts that exceed 3 will
received as a separate message.
