Hi,

The CUSTOM encoding (which sets the relevant UDH flag) was a code
donation from a friend who had a similar application. I am afraid I've
never worked with custom encodings, so I am not very sure of the
answer I should give you. Have you tried with a plain, 8-bit encoded
message?
