Maybe for Nokia phones you need the PC suite, but I doubt it. I have 2
phones, 1 SonyEricsson and 1 Motorola. I can change the usb connection
from storage to modem using the configuration utilities located in the
same phone. No extra software required.

I don't have a Nokia phone, but the 7210 is in compatibility list and
must work, check again your configuration utilities in the phone.
Check in something related to USB (only a guess). Also. you can try to
find in the forum any posts using the "7120" as a seach word. Maybe
your problem has been solved by another user.

The N72 model, is a Simbiam phone I think and unfortunately doesn't
work with smslib. That model is realy powerful and is possible to
program it with JavaME to simulate a standard AT modem in order to
make it compatible, but as far as I know, nobody has trying to do
until now.
