I want to report my experience using Prolink 3.5G HSDPA There are several issues using this modem: - 1) It is unable to receive incoming calls. Phone engaged tone will be heard if you tried calling it. Voice calls table in the SMSServer does *not* show those incoming voice calls 2) SMSC number must be hard-coded, else unable to send text 3) The application program, called "Prolink 3G Modem PC Manager",which comes with modem must always be running, else the "com port" will disappear from device manager, causing SMSServer to fail.
So many incompatibility problems exist with this modem, and yet it is still listed in the compatibility list. I have paid the price to purchase this modem, I do not wish other people making the same mistake of checking the compatible list, buy it and only to find out later that this equipment does not work as expected.
