40 modems??? If you manage this (and as far as I remember from the
feedback I get), you will have the SMSLib world record!

Anyway, I can't really say if CDMA modems will work. They usually
behave a bit different. Some do work, even with small code changes.
My only recommendation would be to get one of those and try it out.
