Good day Sir, I tried using Huawei 153 on Centos 5.6 kernel 2.6.18 but it doesnt work, the port gets detected as ttyUSB0 and ttyUSB1(i have to manually rmmod usb_storage), but when a tried to connect to those port using minicom, it just stayed(minicom) on initializing modem. I also tried using it Centos 5.6 kernel 2.6.39 with almost same result but minicom went pass the initializing modem part, unfortunately it is still not responding to AT commands.
Then I tried using Centos 6 32bit fully updated stock kernel(forgot the version I think it was 2.6.32) and everything works fine(except for one instance which required me to replug the modem in a 5 day testing), whether it be in minicom or smsserver and on different baud rate from 2400 to 115200. Will be doing more testing on this(compiling libusb from source probably) and post the result. Any suggestion on my further testing, is there any module/library that I should take into consideration.
