I get a text response in +CUSD for both text and PDU modes. The documentation for my modem (Siemens MC35i) says this about how the second parameter in the +CUSD response is handled. Maybe you can check with the documentation for your particular modem. ------------- +CUSD: <m>[<str_urc>[<dcs>]]
<str_urc> String type USSD-string . If <dcs> indicates that GSM 03.38 default alphabet is used TA converts GSM alphabet into current TE character set according to rules of GSM 07.05 Annex A.
