Hi, As you describe your situation, it's possible that the SMSLib initialization routines drop your data connection. I can't help you here as this is very modem specific question, but I would suggest to comment out all command in the ATHandler init() method (and reset() method) and try again. I don't know which command messes you up but if you manage your modem's initialization yourself, you might as well leave all SMSLib initialization out.
