I will try lowering the baud rate in tomorrow's run. In the meanwhile,
I've been able to narrow down the exact symptoms of the problem.

Sequence:
1. AT+CMGL=4 times out because it did not receive the terminating OK
2. Subsequently, the KeepAlive or Watchdog thread gets a CMS Error 512
and marks the modem for restart

Question: Is the CMS Error 512 the underlying cause of the timeout or
just a symptom of timing out and aborting the AT+CMGL?
