Actually, yes,

While playing with trying to get the USSD stuff to work, the code would
crash in both these locations.  It was happening pretty consistently, but I
couldn't tell you the sequence of events that would make it happen.  As I
remember (don't put too much stock in this) it would occur after sending a
bad USSD request, then asking for signal strength (I have some test code
that runs through various methods.)  It was a while ago, so the exact code
to duplicate it has migrated.
