Hello everyone, I have a big problem with SMSLib with RXTX. I get No response from device error.
First of all modem is Alcatel X230L, system is latest Linux Debian x64 bit with 64-bit Java. I have everything installed properly (I think). I tried all possible options, tried to run the app with -Dsmslib.serial.polling, and still getting the error. USB_modeswitch is working properly as well I guess. I am sure that port is the right one, I'm using /dev/ttyUSB4. I tried to see what's happening on the port so I run terminal and AT commands work just fine. screen /dev/ttyUSB4 when typing ATi response is: Manufacturer: TCT Mobile International Limited Model: HSPA Data Card Revision: IX1B4800XX IMEI: 867597005573446 +GCAP: +CGSM,+DS,+ES OK I left terminal open and when I run my app responses are: OK OK ATZ OK ATE0 OK +CPIN: READY OK That seems to be fine, and modem is responding anyway. Even with polling nothing seems to happen and still getting No response error. Help please! I can figure it out, I'm running out of ideas. Important thing is that it all works like a charm both on Windows and Mac OS X, so we cannot say that the modem is incompatible with SMSLib.
