At midnight I will unmoderate the Google group and sort out outstanding applications for membership. The following is a list based on the private messages I have received so far: it may well answer a query you have sent me so do please read carefully. PLEASE READ ALL OF THESE, ALL OF YOU! If I get messages that show you haven't tried to follow the admittedly long list here, i will deprioritise (not ignore, just not stay up late to deal with it) 1) *If you have applied to join and have not been approved, please contact me directly telling me which address you applied with*. one or two of them look dubious to me... 2) In all the confusion you may have had two addresses subscribed. If so, please go to your settings on the group page and either unsubscribe one, or set it to nomail [in the latter case you can still send from that address] 3) Please note: many people have ended up with the wrong address subscribed or two. I'm afraid there are too many for me to answer them all manually at this point. If you have such a problem, please do your best to sort it out yourself and if you genuinely cannot do so, contact me directly and give me time to work through them. I am going to IGNORE outstanding requests of this type rather than duplicate effort so if your best efforts fail, please contact me again. 4) You do NOT have to use a gmail address to get the group messages. You do not have to change the subscribed address to a gmail one. If you have done this and it's got messy, please see point 2.) 5) I am not annoyed with anyone for anything! But I have seen good lists crash and burn when massive posting takes place (even on-topic stuff) so with this in mind: PLEASE DO NOT POST 'ME-TOO' MESSAGES tonight or tomorrow. PLEASE! We will lose people, I promise, and annoy others. 6) Having said that, if things don't go the 'right' way, please be patient and within a few days, it will be business as usual. 7) If you do not get a copy of this via the google groups address but only from swingdigital, then there is something not working about your subscription to Google groups. Please have a look and contact me only if you hit a dead-end.
