it's a new MB so I shouldn't need the data - but will use the 
disk as a spare.

Sam, can you recommend a particular one? googling has brought up 
nothing I can get here (and lots of them say there is no 
'similar drive' for laptops after reviewing desktop ones.) which 
supplier do you use?
