No because I'm on cable its a Netgear WGR614.
Just been fiddling around with WPA password etc beefing it up just in  
case.
Basically I don't understand MAC addresses/IP addresses/DNS.

Paul, your reply just arrived. Is a non-static IP address one best  
practice?
So I would untick something to do with DHCP?
Bit wary of playing around in the router settings. Nearly managed to  
sabotage the whole setup this morning resetting a password.
