Malcolm

You will have to get help from someone other than me to resolve those
remote access issues. All I can say is that I use my MobileMe account
from home (Apple systems) and remotely (PC ) and have had no problems
at all.
In quantum physics theory, a particle behaves one way when it is being
observed and a different way when not being observed - maybe you
should log onto MobileMe and go and make a cupa!
Sorry I have no real practical advice, but in sincerity I empathise
with you when you are the one its not working for - Ohhh the joys of
technology.

Regards
Andy

Hi Andy,

My main frustration is that I can't check e-mails through my work
system (in my own time of course!) because MobileMe won't function
with anything earlier than IE8. Also my Google account is far faster
and responsive to access from home than MobileMe which seems to be
perpetually loading or spinning the beach ball. I'm beginning to
wonder why I'm paying the fee for something less efficient than what I
can get for free.

I Can't answer your question but what problems have you had with
MobileMe? I use it on and off but not had any problems. I sync
calendar and contacts regularly......

Dear SMUGs,

I'm trying to migrate away from the irritating/inaccessible/
inefficient MobileMe. I've followed the Google instructions for
syncing with iCal but I keep getting an error message that the user
name can't be found through the server. I've checked it again and
again to confirm it is correct and what Google recognises to no
avail. Has anyone else experienced this?
