Huh! I plugged mine into the car, red light came on on the plug - inserted the other end into the iPhone - nada, nothing, zip, b....... ! Does not charge - tried jiggling everything about with no successes so going to send it back for a refund and will get a kosher one in New York next week as I'm there for a weeks hols. Have you got a proper one now Sam? I can always get an extra one while i'm there Andy
